This week I have a shorter WIR post (kinda like last week – oops). I’ve been spending this week getting ready to move back in at school, and I finally did yesterday, so you can understand that it’s been a bit busy around here. But anyway, more on that in a second.
On Monday, I wrote a blog post called “Talking About Things You Love.” This is something that’s been on my mind for a while, and I finally put it all into words. If talking about your passions is hard, I have some thoughts on that here.
And this week from the Musings Archives, I have the follow-up to my Top 5 Heroines post, my Top 5 Heroes. It’s always fun to put together these lists of characters and whatnot, so maybe I’ll do more sometime.
Finally, for anyone who was wondering, I had a great time with my friend last weekend! I had a safe drive both ways, and we had a good time together, talking and exploring the area. I’m really glad I was able to make the trip!
As for the rest of the week…
Song Of The Week
Reading… The Girls of Atomic City still! I’m a little more than halfway through – it’s a great book, but it can be a lot to take in at once so I’ve been reading it in smaller doses. I’m hoping to finish it soon so I can get started on Throne of Glass, a book that I bought a few weeks back.
Playing… Breath of the Wild again! I’ve been enjoying some sidequests and shrine-hunting lately, mostly because I’ve been having smaller play sessions and I like to at least accomplish something. There’s just so much to explore, and I love finding new places I’ve never been before!
Working on… A costume for a Comic-Con I’m going to next month! I decided to do the Ninth Doctor from Doctor Who, since 1) he’s my favorite and 2) it was a fairly straightforward costume I could put together in a few weeks. I don’t have any photos right now, but don’t worry, I’ll share them when it’s all done!
Looking forward to… a school leader’s retreat this weekend, and being able to see my friends in the next few weeks. The summer went by fast, but I still really miss them and I’m looking forward to getting to hang out again.
Thankful for… sweatpants, “The Inner Tube” podcast, good times with great friends, Goodwill, ice cream, and spending time with family.
