Welcome to Friday everyone!
I’m so sorry I missed last week’s WIR – I was bogged down with a lot of reading homework, and I was also at Uprise Fest last weekend, so that didn’t leave a lot of time for writing WIRs. Hopefully that won’t become a regular thing, but either way, I appreciate your patience and understanding with me!
Last week, I wrote a blog post for World Suicide Prevention Day, which is a very important day for me, and then this past Monday, I shared a post with Worldbuilding Lessons from The Legend of Zelda. Zelda is one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to fantasy, so this was really a fun post to write.
Anyway, as for the rest of my week…
Song of the Week
- From NewReleaseToday: As We Ascend released a music video for their song “Tell Me.”
In school… I have lots of projects! My first big exams are starting to come up, ad I think I’ll do well on them, but I’m still a little nervous. I also have a lot of reading-heavy classes right now, which makes things tough, but hopefully things will lighten up eventually.
Reading… Looking Backward. Granted, it’s for my History class, and I can’t stand it, but at least it’s something. I finished Throne of Glass recently though, and I really loved it!
Writing… I’m continuing to work on “Quest” in preparation for NaNoWriMo, but in the meantime, I’ve been working on a some pieces for my Fiction Writing class at school. So far, most of what I’ve written is kinda meh, but I did write something about an ice cream truck the other day that I kinda liked, so I think things are improving
Went to… Uprise Fest last weekend! I had an amazing time and got to see some of my favorite artists again, like Lacey Sturm and Disciple, and I got to see some other cool artists for the first time, like Demon Hunter, Project 86, Matt Baird, and Death Therapy. It was an amazing experience, and even though I lost my voice by the end of the week, it was well worth it.
Looking forward to… Fortunately, I have a relaxing weekend coming up, but next week, I’ll be going home to see my brother’s School of Rock show! I’m really looking forward to hearing what he’s been practicing lately. And then the weekend after that, I’ll be going home again (at least for a day) to participate in the local Out of the Darkness walk with my mom (if you want more info about that, you can look at my page on the fundraising website). Until then though, I’m glad to have a quiet weekend.
Thankful for… safe travels, comfy clothes, Hyrule, mint tea, chocolate, bullet journaling, and music.
