Happy Friday, everyone!
I hope you’re all having a good week! Mine has been kind of crazy, but I’m looking forward to what should hopefully be a relaxing weekend. This week I shared my favorite GameCube games of all time, which was a lot of fun – and actually a bit of a challenge – to put together! I always love talking about my favorite video games, especially ones that don’t get to be in the spotlight as often, like Chibi-Robo. If you’re looking for some “new” games to try, I can highly recommend all of these!
As for the rest of the week…
Song of the Week
- From Uprise Fest: Jeremy Camp sang “Monster” with Skillet, which was one of the most weirdly amazing things I’ve ever witnessed, and it’s all on video.
- From PeanutButterGamer: 50 Funny Ways to Die in Breath of the Wild. Bizarre and also weirdly entertaining. And here I thought I died a lot in BOTW.
- From Succulents: An epic piano medley of different Ace Attorney courtroom themes. Maybe there will come a WIR when I don’t talk about AA, but that’s not today…
- From… Me, I guess: I wrote an article for my school’s media hub, the Pulse, as part of a weekly de-stress column my roommate and I are doing. I’ll try to keep sharing them as they come out, so stay tuned for more!
Last weekend… I was back home for about a day and a half to see my brother’s School of Rock concert. This show was themed “History of Metal,” so it was a little crazy, but I really liked it! I’m really proud of how far he’s progressed in his guitar playing
(but don’t tell him, that’d be awkward).
In school… I’ve been working on my expanded short story and some other small assignments. This week was a bit busy, but mostly with smaller tasks rather than big projects like last week.
Writing… most of my time has been spent on prepping for NaNoWriMo and working on pieces for my fiction class. They’re two very different projects, so it’s nice to go back and forth when I need a break from one or the other.
Playing… the new Stranger Things game! It’s a top-down 16-bit adventure game, kind of like a simplistic A Link to the Past, if you’ve ever played that game. It’s free on Apple and Android, so it’s worth checking out if you love the show! I’m having a great time with it.
Looking forward to… there’s a video game game night tonight on campus, so I’m hoping to hang out there for a bit. They’re also showing Wonder Woman for free this weekend, so I might head out to one of those showings. I’m also participating in my local AFSP walk on Sunday, so I’m excited for that too.
Thankful for… spending grandparent’s day with my grandpa, my refilled beanbag chair, cozy jackets, finally catching a legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Go, safe travels, and Christmas lights.
