Welcome to Friday!
I hope you all had a good week! I know I’m getting to this post a little late (I’ll explain in a moment), so I’ll just cut to the chase.
This week, I wrote a blog post about Writing Lessons from Wolves At The Gate. If you like music, or enjoy learning more about “technical” aspects of writing, feel free to check it out!
And as for the rest of the week…
Song of the Week
In school… I’ve been pretty busy lately. I had two exams this week, and I have a major group project for my Marketing class on the horizon, so I spent a lot of time trying to “stay afloat” this week. I’m looking forward to the weekend though, and I think next week will be a little easier.
Writing… nothing much, unfortunately. NaNoWriMo starts on Wednesday though, so I’m hoping to have time to outline more for that in the next few days.
Watching… Stranger Things! The second season was released on Netflix today, and I haven’t watched it yet, but I’ve been re-watching the first season in preparation. It’s still just as intense the second time around.
Reading… All The President’s Men. It tells the story of the investigation of the Watergate scandal, so it’s nonfiction, but it’s written more like a story than a textbook. My dad recommended it to me a while back, and I’m finally getting around to reading it. So far so good!
Feeling… stressed out. This week was messy, as I mentioned before, and with those school things piled on top of other personal responsibilities, I was feeling overwhelmed a lot. Things are better now, and I’m hoping it stays that way.
Looking forward to… I’m having a movie night with some friends tonight, tomorrow I’m planning on going to a game night on campus, and on Sunday night, I’m going to the Homecoming dance with some of my friends. I’m normally not a “dancey” person, but I think it’ll be fun to hang out with my friends.
Thankful for… spending a day with my parents, successful Pokemon Go raids, being able to watch a Patriots game, having time to watch Stranger Things, Klondike bars, extended due dates, and journaling.
