Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you all had an awesome week – mine was pretty good! I enjoyed a relaxing weekend with nothing urgent that needed to get done, which was nice. I did a lot of NaNoWriMo-ing, watched some Netflix, played some video games, and worked on other things. But more on that in a minute…
This week, I wrote a blog post about Trying New Things – if you’ve ever wanted to try something new, but just couldn’t make yourself do it, perhaps this will help a little.
As for the rest of the week…
Song of the Week:
Internet Round-Up:
- From Blimey Cow: How to Write a Country Song (In 5 Minutes or Less)
- From Charmaine: Writing Vlog about the first week of NaNoWriMo. I’m in a few times, mostly because I didn’t realize she was filming and I started laughing about Stranger Things.
- From Hannah Heath: 12 Fiction Genres You’ve Probably Never Heard Of
- From The Pulse: I wrote another Daily De-Stressors article for my school!
In School… things have been relatively light! I’ve been enjoying a less-busy week, which is nice because it’s left me time to work on other projects and tasks that have been waiting to be done. I’m hoping it stays this way for a while at least.
Writing… my NaNo novel! As of the time of this writing, I have 15,222 words written, though it will likely be more by the time this post gets to you (if you’re like more up-to-date info on my progress, check out my NaNoWriMo profile). The story is moving along much more smoothly now, which I’m very thankful for.
Reading… All The President’s Men, still. I’m almost about halfway through, and I’m hoping to finish it by Thanksgiving break at the latest. The book belongs to my dad, and I have a feeling he’ll want it back in the next century…
Watching… Stranger Things season two! I have three episodes left, and I’m hoping to watch them this weekend or in the next few days. No spoilers, please!
Looking Forward To… seeing Thor: Ragnarok this afternoon with some friends of mine! Although I haven’t seen all of the Thor movies, I’m really excited about this. Tomorrow night, I’m going to a game night with some friends of mine. It’s going to be a fun weekend!
Thankful for… Spending time alone, talking to my family one the phone, my advising meeting went well, my backpack cover, my new cozy hoodie, and time to read at dinner.
