Week In Review – December 22

Happy Friday, everyone!

I hope you’ve all had a good week – things have been busy but fun for me lately, so that’s  been really good. Also, my blog hit a pretty big milestone yesterday – it was my 2-year blogiversary! I can’t believe it’s been two years since I started blogging again, but it’s been such a fun journey. If you missed the celebration post, be sure to check it out for some fun surprises! And, while you’re at it, you can read my Monday blog post from this week, The ABCs of The Legend of Zelda.

Other than that, not much has been going on around here. I’ve mostly just been hanging out, running errands, and working on some projects while I’m at home. But if you’d like more details about what I’ve been up to lately, keep reading!

Song of the Week
I don’t even really like the song itself, I just really like Anberlin.

Internet Round-Up

Reading… The Archived by Victoria Schwab right now (yes, the same author who wrote Vicious, just under a different name). I like it well enough, but I don’t think I’ve gotten far enough for it to really be interesting yet. I also just read Wires & Nerve, a graphic novel by Marissa Meyer that’s part of the Lunar Chronicles series. Most graphic novels don’t take me long to read, so I finished this in one sitting, but I loved every second of it. Highly recommended if you’re a Lunar Chronicles fan!

Playing… Breath of the Wild mostly. I’ve done a few MarioKart races with my brother here and there, but I’m mostly focused on getting all 120 shrines in BOTW. I just reached 106 at my last count, so I’m getting closer! If only they weren’t so darn hard to find…

Working on… coding again! I haven’t done much with practicing HTML/CSS since early this summer because things got so busy, but I decided to start another project this month. It isn’t much right now, but I’m making progress, and I’m having fun with it too.

Listening to… Aside from my Christmas mix, I’ve really been enjoying Everything Was Sound by Silent Planet and Dark Flag by Phinehas. Both of these were CDs I bought on a whim a while back, and I’m really enjoying them! If you’re a fan of metal/hardcore music, I strongly recommend you give these artists a listen.

Looking forward to… seeing The Last Jedi this weekend, spending the next few days with my family and friends, Christmas cookies, and another great year of blogging.

Thankful for… puppies, warm cozy hats, winning football games, going to the library and getting lots of books, tea, ice cream, and my slippers.

How was your week? Have you been reading or listening to anything good lately? What are you doing to prepare for the holidays? Feel free to share in the comments!

See you on Monday!
