Happy Friday, everyone, and Happy New Year once again!
I hope you all enjoyed celebrating the new year, whether that meant spending time with family and friends, hanging out and reading a good book, or just having the chance to sleep in. I didn’t do much myself, but I did finally get to watch the Psych movie, so that was certainly fun.
In other news, I posted my Year in Review for 2017 on Monday, featuring my favorite books, CDs, blog posts, and moments from the past year. If you missed it, be sure to check it out and tell me your favorite things from 2017 as well!
Song of the Week
Internet Round-Up
- I’m almost certain I’ve shared this before but since it was Christmastime and I just finished this case again, here’s a favorite from Geekdom House: Don’t Forget DL-6

Writing… my NaNo project again. To be honest, I’m still not sure where I’m going with it, but I know for certain it needs a lot of work. I finally got a place where I think I can put the story on hold though – it’s not a perfect resolution, but it’s something I can work with. I have a feeling the road ahead is going to be rough, but I’m determined to turn this into something I’m proud of.
Reading… Nothing at the moment, but I just finished my first book of 2018! Like I said in last week’s post, I really wanted to read Stars Above, a short story collection by Marissa Meyer, and I did just that. I’m not sure what I’ll do next – I really want to re-read The Lunar Chronicles and the Gallagher Girls series, but they’re both at school right now. I’ll be going back soon, but I’m not sure what will hold me over until then…
Watching… the Psych movie! It aired on TV a few weeks ago, but I just had the chance to watch it on New Year’s Eve. To be honest, I was a little confused by it, but I still enjoyed watching it. It was good to see all of my favorite characters back on the small screen again.
Working on… my bullet journal. I just got my 2018 pages all set up, so that was a fun project. I’m experimenting with a few different things this year, but I think I’ll save that for a future post…
Looking forward to… seeing my friends at school again (especially the ones who weren’t around last semester), going to my brother’s basketball games this weekend, and these last few days of winter break.
Thankful for… hot chocolate, cozy snowy days, my new phone, finishing my favorite Ace Attorney case (again), muffins, and books.
