Happy Friday, everyone!
I hope you’re all doing well and are enjoying your new year so far. I’m back at school now, but so far, things are pretty great! It’s nice to be back and in a routine once again.
On Monday, I reviewed how I did with my goals in 2017, and I also talked about my goals for 2018. There are a lot of things I’m gonna try to do this year, so be sure to check it out and see what I’m up to this year!
Song of the Week
- From Charmaine Lim: Review of Vicious by V.E. Schwab (I read this a while ago and loved it, but if I can’t convince you, give her review a read)
- From GameInformer: Their Best of 2017 Awards (and the parody, The 10 Worst Best Games of 2017)
In School… I just started my January “J-Term” class, and so far, so good. For those unfamiliar with it, J-Term is a short, three-week period in January during which we take one class, every day, for about three hours a day. It’s a quick way to get some credits out of the way, so I’m taking an intro to philosophy class right now. I haven’t been hit with anything too crazy yet, but there’s still a lot of class to go, so I’ll let you know how I feel again next week.
(Re-)Reading… Ally Carter’s Gallagher Girls series, which, if you read my 2018 goals post, is one of my reading goals for this year. I’m only a few chapters into the first book (I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You), but I’m enjoying my re-read so far. I also just finished re-reading A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L’Engle, which I also loved.
Playing… a couple different things, but my main focus right now is Pokémon Ultra Moon. It’s the “remaster” (for lack of a better term) of Pokémon Moon, a game that I bought about a year ago but never finished. I kept getting frustrated by it, so I decided to trade in my copy and get the new Ultra Moon instead. It’s going well so far, though I’m still working on putting my team together.
Thankful for… going to basketball games, playing video games with my brother, safe driving, a nice clean car, warmer weather, and chocolate.
