Happy Friday!
This week’s post is another shorter one, although this week has been far from uneventful! Over the weekend, I went home to see my brother’s School of Rock concert, which was a lot of fun, and I got to see a few of his basketball games while I was there too. I also wrapped up “J-Term” this week, and so with a few extra days off, I’ve been spending time with my friends.
On Monday, I shared a post about seeing through the eyes of a writer, in which I try to explain how writers see the world. If you’re interested, take a few minutes to check it out!
Song of the Week
I’ve decided I’m going to share “love songs” throughout February, so here’s a love song written about a stereo. You think I’m kidding?
Internet Round-Up
- From Eleventyseven: They released a music video for their song “Inside Out” the other day, and I really like it! Also, Matt Langston’s appearance really hasn’t changed in the last ten years.
- From Say Goodnight Kevin: An Open Letter to Smaller Channels
In school… I just wrapped up my J-Term philosophy class on Wednesday, and now I’m enjoying a few days off before the spring semester begins. My spring classes begin on Monday morning, and I’ll be taking theology, formal poetry, chemistry, and macroeconomics. To be honest, I’m not overwhelmingly excited for any of the classes I have this semester, but I’m hoping it’ll all go well anyway.
Writing… nothing major right now, but I’ve been working on a few smaller pieces of writing related to my bigger projects. I’m also hoping to revive one of my old projects for Camp NaNoWriMo in April, so I’ve been doing some preparations for that when I have a few minutes to spare.
Working on… a few different projects: I’m building a website for Minds Matter, one of the groups I’m a part of on campus, and I also have a few personal projects that I’m working on right now. I’ll save the details of those projects for another day.
Excited about… My new Master Sword! No, it doesn’t actually have the power to dispel darkness, but it was only $10 from ThinkGeek, so I’d say it was a pretty good deal. It just arrived in the mail yesterday, and I love it.
Looking forward to… chilling out this weekend and watching the Superbowl on Sunday!
Thankful for… getting to go to my brother’s show, hot chocolate, movie nights, spending days with friends, basketball games, and new sweaters.
