Happy Friday, everyone!
I hope you all had a great weekend and that this week has been good for you! I’ve been doing pretty well myself – I had a cold last week, and it’s pretty much gone at this point, which is good. I also got to do a lot of fun stuff over the weekend, like visiting my friend’s apartment, going to a basketball game, and going Pokémon Go raiding with some people from school.
Since Wednesday was Valentine’s Day, I wrote a blog post about my favorite fictional couples and why they mean so much to me. If you missed it, be sure to check it out (after you read this, of course).

In school… this was a bit of a weird week, but not in a bad way – I was supposed to have a chemistry class and lab session on Monday, but it was cancelled because the professor had another engagement. We’ll finally get to do our first lab this coming Monday, and I’m looking forward to that. Most of my other classes have been alright too, so that’s good.
Reading… some manuscripts for my friends! Both Charmaine (my roommate) and some friends from high school gave me their NaNoWriMo drafts to read, and I’m currently going through them. I finished Charmaine’s earlier this week, and so now I’m going through the other one. It’s really neat to get to read something my friends have put together.
Playing… Pokémon UltraMoon again! I’ve made a lot of progress recently, and I’m finally at the point where I can take on the Pokémon League (the “final boss” in Pokémon). I think I’m gonna go through some more training before then (and try to evolve my Seadra), but I know I’ll be ready soon.
Working on… A website for Minds Matter! It’s a project that I’ve been working at for a while now, and things are finally almost put together. Once it’s finally finished and put online, I’ll be sure to share it with you!
Excited about… Starting training for my new job next week! I’m a tutor at our campus writing center, which is a place where students can bring their papers to have them reviewed by one of the tutors. The service is free for students, but as a tutor, I’ll be getting paid, which will be nice – and I’ll be doing something I love, too. Having the job will mean I have to manage my time a little more strictly, but I’m excited to get started.
Looking forward to… a few things – there isn’t much happening this weekend, but I am going to another “Battle Royale” event on Saturday night, and I think that’ll be fun. This one is themed around “royal” characters, so it should be exciting.
Thankful because… I’m not feeling sick anymore, our women’s basketball team won, I beat my Tetris high score, the weather has been warmer, and I got to hang out with friends.
