Week In Review – March 2

Happy Friday everyone, and welcome to a brand new month!

Not gonna lie everyone, this week was pretty darn crazy. I was gone over the weekend for my brother’s last basketball game (we won, by the way), and when I got back to campus, my week was pretty much nonstop. Fortunately, Fridays are a bit more lowkey, so I’m hoping to find some time to recover soon.

On Monday, I blogged about my Top 5 Nintendo DS games! There are a couple in there where you might think “well, duh,” but I do have a few surprises, so if you’re looking for some new/old games to pick up, be sure to check it out!

Song of the Week

Internet Round-Up

In school… I’ve been busy! My macroeconomics exam last week went well, so that felt good. I also had my first paper for poetry due this week, and I have another exam coming up in my theology class. There are a couple of big assignments on the horizon, but the good news is that spring break is just another week away, so I have that to look forward to.

Reading… Warcross by Marie Lu! I just started it earlier this week, and it’s been a hard book to put down. I love the virtual reality world that Lu created, and her characters are as fantastic as always. Plus, it tickles the nerd part of my brain, which is always a bonus.

Writing… poetry, mostly. It’s for the formal poetry class I’m taking right now, and even though poems aren’t my forte, I’m enjoying it a lot! Last week I wrote a terza rima poem, and just this past week I wrote a poem in quatrains. The next project is a sonnet, and so I’m looking forward to that challenge as well.

Playing… a new case in Ace Attorney! I just bought the “bonus” case in Spirit of Justice, “Turnabout Time Traveler,” and I’m having fun with it. It’s a little sad to think that it’ll REALLY all be over after this, but until then, I’m enjoying every second. Also, I finally got my Kingdra in Pokemon Ultra Moon, so Pokemon League, here I come!

Feeling… better than I was earlier this week, but still a little meh. Because I was home over the weekend, I didn’t have as much time to work on homework. I didn’t really fall behind, but with an already crowded week between work and summer job interviews, it felt like I was always sprinting from one task to the next. It got easier as the week went on, thankfully, but I’m still recovering.

Looking forward to… my “open dorm day” tonight! I’m baking cookies and inviting my floor over to play MarioKart, so I’m hoping some people will stop by. If not… well, more cookies for me!

Thankful for… Messyges, pomegranate raspberry tea, new books, getting my philosophy final back, spending time with my family, winning the basketball game, and poetry class.

And hey, before I forget – Remember that website project I was working on for a while? It’s finally live on the internet now! You can check it all out here.

How was your week, readers? What are you thankful for right now? Feel free to share in the comments!

See you on Monday!
