Happy Friday, everyone!
I hope you’re having a good week, whether there’s snow on the ground (like where I am) or it’s sunny and warm. Despite the weather, I’ve been enjoying my spring break at home – it’s given me a lot of time to work on things I’ve had to put aside lately, and I’ve gotten caught up on some work as well. It’s been a good week!

Writing… a few things here and there. I decided to pick up an idea from my NaNoWriMo project the other day, and so I’ve been working at that. To be honest, I’m still not sure what to do with that project, but one of these days when I have some time, I’ll sit down and plan it. For now, I’m happy just working with my characters and setting.
Reading… nothing at the moment, but I just finished Carrie Ann DiRisio’s Brooding YA Hero book, which was just as fantastic as I thought it would be. If you enjoy satire about books and writing, or have really enjoyed it when I roast fictional tropes on my blog, this is a book worth reading. I just borrowed two short story collections from the library, so I’ll probably start one of those next.
Playing… some Pokémon, some Ace Attorney, but the big thing is that I finally completed Breath of the Wild! I wanted to locate all 120 shrines before challenging the final boss, which I did, and so I finally infiltrated Hyrule Castle and defeated Calamity Ganon. I won’t spoil the ending, but I think it’s safe to say this is one of my favorite video games of all time, and being able to finally complete it was so satisfying. There are still plenty of adventures to be had though, so you can bet I’ll be revisiting Hyrule soon.
Working on… a cosplay project, which I may have talked about before? I can’t remember. Anyway, after my experience in September at a nearby Comic-Con, I wanted to do a cosplay as Link from Breath of the Wild for an even bigger convention this summer. Unfortunately, it was cancelled, but I decided to go ahead with my project anyway. I just finished making this Sheikah Slate prop (inspired by Game Guy DIY), and I’m really happy with how it turned out! It’s on to the tunic next.
Looking forward to… spending one more weekend with my family, and then heading back to school on Sunday.
Thankful for… being home again, spending time with my family, cozy clothes, sleeping in, completing projects, and having the week off.
