Week In Review – March 30

Happy Friday everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful week and are enjoying the weekend now! I just got home for Easter break last night, so I’m enjoying a few days with my family for an extended weekend. Other than that though, I’ve just mostly been working on school projects, reading books, and hanging out.

This week, I wrote about two classic princesses – Zelda from The Legend of Zelda and Peach from Super Mario – and how they break the mold of traditional “damsels in distress.” It’s one of my favorite blog posts that I’ve written in a while, so if you missed it on Monday, be sure to give it a read after this!

In school… I had two exams this week, but I did pretty well on both of them, so that was good news! Some of my other classes were busy too, but I’m glad I finally have a break to catch up on some stuff.

Reading… A Tyranny of Petticoats, collection of historical fiction short stories about women. I like some of the stories better than others, but they’re all unique and interesting, which I  appreciate. I’m starting to realize that maybe short story collections aren’t really my favorite thing, since sometimes they might almost be too short, but I’m glad I picked this one up anyway.

Watching… Timeless Season 2. I don’t actually know why I’m still watching this show, because it’s gone a bit downhill lately. I think I’m still holding out hope that it’ll get better, but if I get to the end of this season and it’s still not good… I might just have to let it go.

Looking forward to… working on some projects over the weekend, spending time with my family, and going to the Easter Sunday service.

Thankful for… warmer weather, a safe trip home, spending time with friends, doing well on exams, Pokémon Go Day, D&D, and picross.

Readers, how was your week? What have you been watching or reading lately? What’s your favorite song right now? Let me know in the comments!

See you on Monday!
