Happy Friday, everyone!
I’m pretty excited about this week – I finished my sophomore year of college on Monday, and I started working at my summer job on campus later in the week. So far, things are going really well! It’s a bit different than other jobs I’ve worked in the past, but I love it and I’m excited for what the summer holds.
This week, in celebration of Mother’s Day, I shared some of my favorite moms and maternal figures in fiction! If you didn’t get the chance to read it on Monday, be sure to check it out!
Also, today is the LAST DAY to enter my blog survey and giveaway! Read all the details here, I’d love to have your feedback!

In school… I just finished up the semester! Everything officially wrapped up on Monday when I took my last “final” (I hung out in class for 30 minutes and talked about theology), and it feels so good to be done. It was a little sad seeing all my friends leave for the semester, but I’m looking forward to the adventures this summer.
Writing… notes for last year’s NaNoWriMo novel! I’ve finally started reading through my 50k word manuscript, and it doesn’t seem as bad as I thought it would be (to me at least). I’m mostly making notes about each chapter/section so I can see the big picture and reorganize if needed, but hey, it’s progress.
Watching… nothing at the moment, but I did just finish Death Note, and now I’m slowly catching up on my “Watch Later” queue on YouTube. If anyone has any suggestions for TV shows, let me know!
Reading… This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab. It’s a bit hard to explain, but basically it’s an urban fantasy that takes place in a divided city where these awful monsters roam. I really love the two main characters, and the plot is really fascinating too. I’m only halfway through, but I’m already planning on picking up the sequel when I’m done.
Playing… Breath of the Wild some more. I did some more exploring in Hyrule Castle the other day, and now I’m working on completing some quests. I’m planning on buying the expansion pass too one of these days, but until then, there’s a lot of Hyrule that still needs to be explored.
Thankful for… Noodles & Co., rainstorms, Blimey Cow, exams being over, milkshakes at Sheetz (sorry Wawa), moving adventures, and a good first day at work.
