3rd Blogiversary Celebration + Giveaway

There are two things in life you’re not supposed to forget:

  1. Birthdays
  2. Anniversaries

Unfortunately for me, I managed to forget both at once.

Fortunately, my blog isn’t sentient (not yet, at least), which means it doesn’t have feelings and therefore can’t be offended that I forgot it turns THREE YEARS OLD today.

But that being said, I still want to celebrate, since three years blogging is definitely nothing to sneeze at. Since this is super last minute (thanks, final exams), I’ll keep it short, but stay tuned for the giveaway at the end!

Blogging Achievements

  • We reached 140 followers this year! I honestly never thought there would be so many people interested in what I have to say, so thank you so much for sticking around!
  • I hit over 250 total blog posts!
  • I revamped my writing pages, featuring my major writing projects with their own subpages. I’m really happy to have a home for all of my stories now, and they’re there if you’d ever like to see what I’m working on!
  • I bought my own domain! It’s really nice to have a URL of my own now, and it makes linking to my blog so much easier

New Page

Speaking of blogging achievements, you might’ve noticed that I just added a new page to my blog! The Inner Circle is something I’ve been working on for a while, but I was just able to complete it recently. A lot of my friends (and some of my family) have creative projects of their own, and I wanted to have a place to share all of the cool things they’re doing. There’s writers, bloggers, photographers, YouTubers, musicians, and all sorts of creative projects, so please go take a look and see what they’re up to!

Giveaway

One last thing to celebrate this blogiversary – I’m doing a giveaway! I really wanted to do something as a thank you to everyone who’s followed, read, and commented on Maggie’s Musings over the past three years, and I felt like this would be the best way to do it.

The full terms and conditions are below, but first of all, let me tell you what you’ll win: The first prize winner will receive a handmade scarf in the color of their choice, and the second prize winner will receive a HomeCube pencil case. I recently picked up knitting as a hobby, and the scarf I made for myself is one of my favorites, so I wanted to share the warmth with others too. As for the pencil case, I have one like it myself, and it’s been super helpful in school. It can hold a lot and keep it organized, so it’s great to have no matter what you do.

You can enter using the Rafflecopter link below – all you have to do is use your Facebook account or enter your e-mail address and then follow the instructions there. The more steps you complete, the more chances you have of winning!

The giveaway will open on December 21, 2018, and close at 11:59pm on January 5, 2019 EST. Entry is only open to United States residents. Two (2) winners will be chosen at random to receive two (2) prizes for first and second place, respectively. First place will win one (1) hand-knit scarf in a color of their choice, and second place will win one (1) HomeCube pencil case.  Both prizes will be mailed to the winners. Entrants can participate using the Rafflecopter widget and following the instructions there.

The winners will be drawn after the close of the giveaway and contacted via e-mail by January 12, 2019. The winners will be asked for color preferences and mailing address in order to receive their prizes. If the winner does not respond to the e-mail within 72 hours of being contacted, another winner will be drawn. Winners will be e-mailed when their prizes have been shipped.

Thank you to everyone who’s been a part of this blogging journey with me! It’s been a bit of a crazy year, especially these past few months, but I appreciate all of you sticking by me and coming back every week. I can’t wait to see what the next year of blogging holds!

Until next time!
