I know I’m only a week off of my normal schedule, but let me just tell you something – it feels like it’s been an eternity since August happened. I’m glad I made some notes for myself, because I’ve forgotten just about everything I did last month.
Before I launch into that though, here are my blog posts from August! I was a little bit off of my normal rhythm due to traveling, but I’m still proud of what I was able to write this month:
It’s official – we’re in the fall months now! School had finally started back up for me, and things are starting to get busy in my life again – which explains why this post is going up a little later than usual. As always, thanks for being patient with me. It’s been a bit rough transitioning from the summer to the school year, but we’re getting there.
There was quite a bit happening this month, so if you’re interested in seeing a quick summary of what I did this month, check out my 1 Second Everyday video for August!
And in case you missed anything on Maggie’s Musings this month, I blogged about:
I am pleased to report that at long last, we are experiencing some warm weather in Pennsylvania! It was 70 degrees Fahrenheit yesterday, and it’s supposed to go up to 80 today, which I’m excited about. I love every season for different reasons, but spring and summer are always fun ones.
This week, I did something a little different and participated in the final (for now) Beautiful People linkup. I talk about some of my favorite tropes, what my characters love, and other fun little writing things. Be sure to give it a read and if you’re a writer, I encourage you to participate in the linkup!
I hope you’ve all had a wonderful week, whether it’s just another week for you or if you’re spending time with family and friends for Thanksgiving. Speaking of Thanksgiving, this week I wrote a blog post with some thoughts about gratitude, so if you missed that, feel free to check it out!
This week has been a little crazy – I’ve had a lot of reading to do for my classes since the last WIR post, but fortunately, I’m past that (at least, for now). With all of the busyness, I didn’t get a chance to write a “proper” post this past Monday, but I did share some cool new projects I’ve been working on with the blog! You can check out all that in my post “A Rather Messy Monday.”
Also, this week in Musings History, I shared a blog post about my first few weeks of college back at the beginning of my freshman year. It’s really interesting to look back on it now and see how much has changed since my first year!
Welcome to Friday, everyone! Can you believe May is already almost over? it seems crazy to me.
This week, I shared 7 Lessons I Learned from a Local Author Fair after I went to one this past Saturday. I had a great time and learned a lot, so if you’re interested in learning a few writing lessons, stop on over there!
I’ve also decided to start doing something like “This Day in Musings History,” Where I’ll share a blog post I wrote roughly a year ago. About a year ago today, I shared my Arizona Adventures with all of you! It’s amazing to me how that was a whole year ago – it feels like just yesterday!
If you visited YouTube in its infancy, chances are, you wouldn’t have been very impressed. The website looked like others from the mid 2000s, which is to say, not very pretty by today’s standards. Who would’ve thought it’d become the internet giant it is today?
Like it or not, YouTube has become a huge part of entertainment. Instead of following TV shows, we subscribe to YouTube channels about our favorite things. And unlike TV, which is often limited in terms of genre or time – as in, you can only watch certain shows at certain times – YouTube is accessible anywhere at anytime.
Like many other people, there are a handful of YouTube channels that I follow (more or less). This week, I wanted to share a few of my favorites. Maybe you’ve heard of them, maybe not. But I hope you’ll find something new that interests you, and when you’re done reading, I’d love to hear about your favorites too!
Today is the first day of October and you know what that means? HALLOWEEN IS COMING.
Well, there’s that and also another edition of “Best Of” (which I’m starting to think is poorly named, but I’ll worry about that another day). Since I’ve been giving you a lot of updates throughout the month about life and college and stuff, I won’t have as much to talk about there, but there are a lot of other things to talk about! So without further ado…
Hey everyone, welcome to August! Depending on where you are, you might’ve experienced the same heat wave I did, so I hope we’ve gotten through the worst of it and you’re all managing to stay cool!
Anyways, there’s a lot to talk about this month! In this post, we’ve got music news, articles on writing, some YouTube videos, and a little bit of info about what’s been going on with me this past month. So without putting it off any longer, let’s get started!
