Beautiful People #22 – February 2017

At long last, I’m back with another edition of Beautiful People! To make a long story short, the last few months have been different for this tag, since they focused on NaNoWriMo works in progress. However, with the new year, we’ve returned to the regular BP, and I’m excited to get back into it!

For those who aren’t familiar with beautiful People, it’s a monthly blog linkup hosted by Paper Fury and Further Up and Further In. Each month, they share 10 questions for writers to answer about their characters, and it’s a great way to work on character development as well as meet other writers! If you want to learn more about it, click here.

Since this month is Valentine’s Day, February’s BP is a “couples edition.” Normally this isn’t my type of thing, but you’re in luck (?) as I happen to have a character couple! Of course, I’ll tell you more about them after the jump, but if you’re interested, you can also check out the other BP linkups I’ve participated in.

BP #17 – May 2016 (Riley Taylor)
BP #18 – June 2016 (Leslie Summers)
BP #20 – August 2016 (Chey Cooper)
BP #21 – September 2016 (Trevor Johnson)

Beautiful People #20 – August 2016

Aaaaand look who’s back with another edition of the Beautiful People writing linkup. I did miss July’s BP, sadly, but I’m glad to be back again this month!

If you’ve never heard of this before, Beautiful People is a linkup hosted by the blogs Paper Fury and Further Up and Further In. The goal of it is for writers to be able to share some fun facts about their characters, and give them the chance to get to know their own characters a little better. Each month, ten questions are posted and the participants answer them for one of their characters. If you’d like to learn more about it, click here.

In the past, I’ve done…
BP #17 – May 2016 (Riley Taylor)
BP #18 – June 2016 (Leslie Summers)

Since I previously introduced you to Riley and Leslie, the main characters of my novella Summertime, I thought I should use this month’s BP to showcase Cheyenne “Chey” Cooper, one of the secondary characters in the story. I don’t talk much about her, but she is mentioned briefly in chapter one of the story, and makes an appearance later on.

August’s theme for BP is “Appearance,” so before I go too much into that, here’s a quick overview of Chey: She’s a few months older than Riley and Leslie, and she’s been friends with both of them for quite a while (though with Riley much longer). She’s a musician, her fist instrument being the piano, but she’s since learned the guitar and bass guitar, and also has some vocal and percussion skills. In short, she loves music.

Actually… I think that’s really all you need to know about her for now, so without further ado, let’s get on with the questions!

Beautiful People #18 – June 2016

Here I am again, participating in this month’s Beautiful People! If you’ve been staying up to date with my blog, I first participated in this linkup last month, and I’m excited to try it again!

For those who are unfamiliar with it, Beautiful People is a linkup for writers that’s hosted by the blogs Paperfury and Further Up and Further In. Basically, each month they post a set of 10 questions for you to ask one of your characters. Once you post it on your blog, you share the link so that other people can read about your characters! It’s a lot of fun, so if you want to learn more about, click here.

Last month, I wrote about Riley Taylor, one of the main characters of my novella, Summertime. This month, I thought I’d take some time to introduce you to Leslie Summers, the other main character. It’s a little different than last month since it’s the “Childhood Edition” of BP, but I wanted to give it a try anyway. Besides, I learned some new things about her, and I’m excited to share with you.

So what are you waiting for? Click on to read the questions!

Beautiful People #17 – May 2016

First of all, sorry for the sort of late blog post. I mentioned it briefly, but I’m actually away on vacation with family right now and totally forgot to set up a blog post to go out this week.

Anyway, I’m doing something a little different today! A few months ago, I found this writing challenge called Beautiful People, which I’ve been wanting to try ever since. Basically, every month, a set of questions goes out and writers answer them for one of their characters.

When the questions for May finally came out, I was super excited to try, and I wanted to share my results with all of you in a blog post. I chose to use my character Riley Taylor, one of the protagonists of my novella, Summertime. Perhaps another time I’ll introduce you to Leslie Summers, the other protagonist, but for now, click below to read on!
