Week In Review – May 25

Happy Friday, everyone!

I hope you’re all doing well. I’m wrapping up my first full week of my summer job today, which is kinda crazy to think about. It’s been a great week though, with a lot of different projects to work on and new things to learn. I also got moved into my summer housing assignment over the weekend, which was a relief. I have a room to myself for the next few weeks, and I’m enjoying it so far!

This week, I shared my sophomore year soundtrack, filled with awesome songs from the past semester. This one was a little trickier to put together, to be honest, but it’s always fun to share my favorite songs with all of you.

Week In Review – May 18

Happy Friday, everyone!

I’m pretty excited about this week – I finished my sophomore year of college on Monday, and I started working at my summer job on campus later in the week. So far, things are going really well! It’s a bit different than other jobs I’ve worked in the past, but I love it and I’m excited for what the summer holds.

This week, in celebration of Mother’s Day, I shared some of my favorite moms and maternal figures in fiction! If you didn’t get the chance to read it on Monday, be sure to check it out!

Also, today is the LAST DAY to enter my blog survey and giveaway! Read all the details here, I’d love to have your feedback!

Week In Review – March 16

Happy Friday, everyone!

I hope you’re having a good week, whether there’s snow on the ground (like where I am) or it’s sunny and warm. Despite the weather, I’ve been enjoying my spring break at home – it’s given me a lot of time to work on things I’ve had to put aside lately, and I’ve gotten caught up on some work as well. It’s been a good week!

This week, I wrote about the ABCs of Pokémon, similar to what I’ve done with Writing and The Legend of Zelda in the past. If you’ve ever wanted to be a Pokémon Master, this should get you started.

Week In Review – January 5

Happy Friday, everyone, and Happy New Year once again!

I hope you all enjoyed celebrating the new year, whether that meant spending time with family and friends, hanging out and reading a good book, or just having the chance to sleep in. I didn’t do much myself, but I did finally get to watch the Psych movie, so that was certainly fun.

In other news, I posted my Year in Review for 2017 on Monday, featuring my favorite books, CDs, blog posts, and moments from the past year. If you missed it, be sure to check it out and tell me your favorite things from 2017 as well!

What I Learned from NaNoWriMo 2017

Well, readers… I did it. For the first time, I  participated in NaNoWriMo, and better yet, I won. If you’ve been following my 2017 NaNo journey, you’ll know that this is the first time I’ve set the goal of 50,000 words, and although I was nervous about it, I finally reached my goal, and two days early at that!

Of course, my story is nowhere near being complete, and it’s definitely going to take me some time to rework this idea and craft it into something I can hopefully one day share with the world. Chances are, whenever I make it to a final copy, it won’t look at all like what I wrote in November. But does that mean that participating in NaNo was in vain? Not at all! In fact, I learned a lot about myself and my writing in the past month, and today, I’d like to share those lessons with you.

Week In Review – December 1

Happy Friday, and happy December!

It’s hard to believe we’re nearing the end of 2017 already, but here we are at the beginning of December. I hope you all had a fantastic week and a good and restful weekend ahead of you. For me, this week was a bit crazy – I had a big project due along with some other assignments, but now that that’s past, I’m looking forward to doing some fun things this weekend.

I didn’t have time to write a normal Monday post this week, so instead I wrote about five things that motivated me to get through this week. If you’re feeling discouraged at all, I recommend taking a few minutes to think about things that can encourage you right now – it helps a lot!

Week In Review – November 17

Welcome to Friday!

I’m keeping it short this week, so no long introduction today. This week, I blogged about the different types of writer friends. I had a lot of fun putting this list together, so if you’re a writer, or if you know some writers, be sure to take a look sometime!

Week In Review – November 10

Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you all had an awesome week – mine was pretty good! I enjoyed a relaxing weekend with nothing urgent that needed to get done, which was nice. I did a lot of NaNoWriMo-ing, watched some Netflix, played some video games, and worked on other things. But more on that in a minute…

This week, I wrote a blog post about Trying New Things – if you’ve ever wanted to try something new, but just couldn’t make yourself do it, perhaps this will help a little.

As for the rest of the week…

Week In Review – November 3

Welcome to Friday, everyone!

This week was pretty good for me! NaNoWriMo began, and I’m really enjoying it so far. Aside from that, school has been going well, and I’ve been feeling less stressed, so overall, things are pretty great!

On my blog this week, I shared my NaNoWriMo Survival Kit, just some tips and tricks for not falling over during the writing competition. If you’re participating this year (or even if you’re not), feel free to check it out!

As for the rest of the week…
