I hope you’re all doing well! My week had some ups and downs, but overall, it was pretty good. I have spring break to look forward too now, so I’m excited to head home and spend some time chilling out.
This week, I started a new series on my blog called “The Poetry of Metal,” in which I analyze the lyrics of metal songs and show how the artists use literary techniques to convey their message. I analyzed “Panic Room” by Silent Planet this past week, so be sure to give it a read and let me know what I should write about next!
Happy Friday everyone, and welcome to a brand new month!
Not gonna lie everyone, this week was pretty darn crazy. I was gone over the weekend for my brother’s last basketball game (we won, by the way), and when I got back to campus, my week was pretty much nonstop. Fortunately, Fridays are a bit more lowkey, so I’m hoping to find some time to recover soon.
On Monday, I blogged about my Top 5 Nintendo DS games! There are a couple in there where you might think “well, duh,” but I do have a few surprises, so if you’re looking for some new/old games to pick up, be sure to check it out!
I hope you’re all doing well! This was a pretty busy week, but a good one too. I had a great time at the Battle Royale event last Saturday (even though my favorite character lost), and my lab session went well too.
I hope you all had a great weekend and that this week has been good for you! I’ve been doing pretty well myself – I had a cold last week, and it’s pretty much gone at this point, which is good. I also got to do a lot of fun stuff over the weekend, like visiting my friend’s apartment, going to a basketball game, and going Pokémon Go raiding with some people from school.
Since Wednesday was Valentine’s Day, I wrote a blog post about my favorite fictional couples and why they mean so much to me. If you missed it, be sure to check it out (after you read this, of course).
This week has been pretty interesting – I caught a cold on Sunday morning, and so I’ve been dealing with that all this week. Coupled with the start of the semester, it’s been a little crazy, but thankfully I’m feeling much better now. I also had a snow day on Wednesday, so I got to get some much-needed rest and relaxation.
On Monday, I shared a post about the Things I Learned From Being Cyberschooled. My high school experience was unique in a number of ways, but it definitely taught me a lot of useful skills, so if that interests you, be sure to give that post a read!
This week’s post is another shorter one, although this week has been far from uneventful! Over the weekend, I went home to see my brother’s School of Rock concert, which was a lot of fun, and I got to see a few of his basketball games while I was there too. I also wrapped up “J-Term” this week, and so with a few extra days off, I’ve been spending time with my friends.
On Monday, I shared a post about seeing through the eyes of a writer, in which I try to explain how writers see the world. If you’re interested, take a few minutes to check it out!
Happy Friday, everyone, and Happy New Year once again!
I hope you all enjoyed celebrating the new year, whether that meant spending time with family and friends, hanging out and reading a good book, or just having the chance to sleep in. I didn’t do much myself, but I did finally get to watch the Psych movie, so that was certainly fun.
In other news, I posted my Year in Review for 2017 on Monday, featuring my favorite books, CDs, blog posts, and moments from the past year. If you missed it, be sure to check it out and tell me your favorite things from 2017 as well!
It’s hard to believe this is my last blog post of 2017, but here we are – another year come and gone! I’ve been working on a “2017 In Review” post, which will go up on New Year’s Day, and it’s been a lot of fun to look back on all of the awesome things that happened this past year. I can’t wait to share it with you! But in the meantime, you can read my post from this past Monday, which is all about my favorite Christmas traditions. (And if you missed it, you can see my “Behind the Scenes” video where I create that very post)
I really enjoyed spending Christmas with my family and friends this year, and now we’re getting ready to celebrate the New Year together. But in the meantime, here’s what I’ve been up to…
I hope you’ve all had a good week – things have been busy but fun for me lately, so that’s been really good. Also, my blog hit a pretty big milestone yesterday – it was my 2-year blogiversary! I can’t believe it’s been two years since I started blogging again, but it’s been such a fun journey. If you missed the celebration post, be sure to check it out for some fun surprises! And, while you’re at it, you can read my Monday blog post from this week, The ABCs of The Legend of Zelda.
Other than that, not much has been going on around here. I’ve mostly just been hanging out, running errands, and working on some projects while I’m at home. But if you’d like more details about what I’ve been up to lately, keep reading!
