(The lovely Kiara wrote this for me, because I don’t know how to talk about my own writing. Give her some love!)

Prince Adrien Bryton never fancied himself a hero. He’d rather keep to himself within the castle walls. His father tells him the world outside is dangerous, especially for someone with a secret like his. But after an attack throws him and Myrina, a foreigner, together on the run, he can’t help thinking there’s more at stake.

Captain Myrina Stamos didn’t expect her diplomatic mission to turn into babysitting a bookish, sheltered prince and escorting him halfway across the known world. But a soldier’s duty comes first, no matter her personal convictions about this whole crazy – what is it Adrien wants to call it – a quest?

Silas Hariri is a fierce bounty hunter with few friends and even fewer morals. When he takes on what seems like a routine job, he’s thrust into the middle of an adventure bigger than himself and his morality comes into question.

In a world of dragons and magic, this ragtag team may be the only ones who can stop the darkness encroaching on the land – if they can get along long enough to do so.

I completed this story for NaNoWriMo in November 2017 and exceeded my goal, which I was very excited about. I recently started reworking some of the story so it flows better, so perhaps I’ll start re-writing sometime soon.

As of March 2019, I’m planning on rewriting the first book in this series over the course of the year, mainly focusing on April and July Camp NaNoWriMo. 50,000 words is my goal, but I’ll probably exceed that.
